Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

Everest Accounting Services (“Everest”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Information we collect

  • Contact details you give us through our website forms, by phone or by email: your name, business name, email address, phone number and city.
  • Client information we need to provide accounting, bookkeeping, payroll and tax services: financial records, receipts, bank and card statements, payroll records, tax slips, Social Insurance Numbers and business numbers, and correspondence with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Saskatchewan Ministry of Finance.
  • Phone calls. Calls to (306) 900-4080 may be answered by our AI receptionist. Calls may be recorded and transcribed so we can return your call, take accurate notes and improve our service. You’ll be told at the start of the call, and you can ask to speak to a person or leave a message instead.
  • Franchise enquiries: your background and the city you’re interested in.
  • Website data: basic technical information such as your browser type and pages visited, collected by our web host and any analytics tools we use.

How we use it

  • To answer your enquiry, book your free health check and provide the services you engage us for.
  • To prepare and file returns and reports with the CRA and other government bodies on your behalf.
  • To send tax deadline reminders and occasional updates, only if you have agreed to receive them. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
  • To meet our legal, professional and record-keeping obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with:

  • Government bodies such as the CRA and Saskatchewan Ministry of Finance, when filing for you or when required by law.
  • Trusted service providers who help us run the business, such as our accounting software (QuickBooks Online), secure client portal, email (Microsoft 365), phone and AI receptionist, scheduling and website hosting providers. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
  • Anyone else, only with your consent or where the law requires it.

Some of these providers store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law.

How we protect it

We use encrypted client portals, multi-factor authentication, access controls and confidentiality agreements. Only people who need your information to do their job can see it.

How long we keep it

We keep client records for at least six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as the CRA requires, and longer where the law or our professional obligations require. Enquiries that don’t become clients are deleted within two years.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent to marketing emails at any time. Contact our Privacy Officer:
